The 9060 is a new expression of refined style and innovation-led design that has made the 99X series home to some of New Balance’s most iconic models. The New Balance 9060 reinterprets familiar elements from classic 99X silhouettes with a distorted, futuristic Y2K-inspired aesthetic. A sway bar, adapted from the 990, is expanded and integrated across the upper to create a sense of visible motion, while wavy lines and exaggerated proportions on the sculpted pod midsole emphasize the familiar cushioning platform of ABZORB and SBS. The upper is constructed with synthetic materials, and the dual-density midsole combines ABZORB and SBS cushioning for enhanced comfort. The tongue logo is inspired by the original 991 lace jewel, while the diamond-pattern outsole draws from the classic 860 design. It is finished with a lace-up closure for a secure fit.
