The MXR reflects Mizuno’s vision of bringing back the retro running experience of the 2000s, building on the globally recognized Wave Rider 10. Its name is derived from the Maximizer series, a long-standing domestic running line, created to deliver Mizuno-level quality to a wider audience. As an entry-level silhouette, the MXR stays true to Mizuno’s core values with high-quality construction and advanced techniques, featuring updated tooling, intricate detailing, and multiple rubber components for a technical color-blocking effect. The design combines mixed materials with silver overlays and breathable white mesh, while refined touches like printed eyelets, embossed details, and specially designed taping add depth and character to the shoe.
